Oklahoma getting a surprise in Ames, Iowa, tonight?
The Sooners have been without three prominent players due to a suspension from a failed drug test prior to the 2019 Peach Bowl. Starting defensive end Ronnie Perkins, wide receiver Trejan Bridges and running back Rhamondre Stevenson were slated to miss five or six games in the 2020 season due to the NCAA violation.
One of those players received some good news on Thursday of this week, Perkins won an appeal from the NCAA and his suspension has been lifted. The star defensive end could play as early as tonight.

Sooners Wire can confirm that Perkins received the news on Thursday before traveling to Ames, Iowa, with the team on Friday. It is unclear if he will be available to play against Iowa State or not.
Perkins made 38 total tackles in 2019 with six sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss. His impact was felt in the 2019 Peach Bowl against LSU as Neville Gallimore was triple teamed on pass plays due to a lack of pass rush from everyone else along the defensive line.
