The Clippers (-1000) are such big money line favorites in this game that it’s best to stay away. Los Angeles has won five straight games and have won six of its last seven at home. However, the Thunder can pull off some upsets as we’ve seen them beat the New Jersey Nets in recent weeks. It’s best to stay away and PASS on this money line in favor of the point spread.
Against the spread (ATS)
The CLIPPERS (-13.5, -105) are double-digit favorites and yet, they are the smart play as they blow out teams with ease given their superstars on offense and elite defenses. They’ve won their last three games by a combined 90 points. The Thunder might be able to keep this game competitive for a while, but look for Los Angeles to ultimately win and cover.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 218.5 (-115) is the smart play here as the Clippers could easily exceed 120 points themselves. They are averaging 114.9 points per game on the season, but their offense has really picked up over the last week. If the Thunder can get into the low 100s, this total should hit with ease. Expect the Clippers to do most of the heavy lifting here as this should be a high-scoring contest.
