Prediction

Celtics 113, Thunder 111

Moneyline (ML)

The Celtics (-176) are expected to win this one on their home court, but laying more than two times your potential return is not a good way to bet. My personal maximum on the moneyline is -170 to -180, and even that’s pushing it. AVOID.

New to sports betting? A $10 bet on the Celtics -176 returns a profit of just $4.50 if they win. A $10 bet on the Thunder +145 returns a profit of $14.5.

Line/Against the Spread (ATS)

The THUNDER (+4.5, -115) have covered seven of their past 10 trips to Boston, and they’ll be in good shape to do so again. They covered a 1 1/2-point spread as underdogs in a 112-111 loss to Boston at home on Feb. 9. Expect another close battle in this one, too.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 219.5 (-106) has cashed in four of the past five meetings in this building. While the under is 3-0 in the past three for Boston against Western Conference opponents, the total went Over in the first game between these two clubs back in early February.

It’s tough to take Overs in Boston games, as they rank second in the NBA with 106.8 PPG allowed, and they’re fourth in defensive field goal percentage (44.1) and second in defensive 3-pointer % (34.1). Oklahoma City is coming off a 126-point effort in New York, and they’re fifth in field goal % at 47.4. This won’t be a track meet, but it will inch Over.
