The NCAA’s early signing period has officially begun, meaning that Oklahoma’s two commits in the class of 2021 are now signees.

Three-star point gaurd Bijan Cortes and four-star shooting guard C.J. Noland make up the backcourt of Oklahoma’s future, but they also make up one of the best signing classes in the Big 12 right now. Even still, there’s some sense among Sooner Nation of longing for what could have been.

“The Sooners and coach Lon Kruger’s efforts for a monster class took a hit when five-star power forward Daimion Collins chose Kentucky,” writes The Oklahoman’s Jacob Unruh.

“But OU still has the makings of a strong class with the additions of four-star shooting guard C.J. Noland of Waxahachie, Texas, and three-star point guard Bijan Cortes, a local star from Kingfisher High”

Unruh and The Oklahoman ranked Oklahoma’s class at No. 4 in the Big 12 right now, behind only Kansas, Baylor and Texas.
