The University of Oklahoma is taking it on the chin right now when it comes to positive COVID-19 tests. Oklahoma football already had a game postponed and are fighting to avoid it being two, while basketball is still trying to figure out when they can get their season started after having each of their first three games get the axe.
On Monday night, the school announced the latest numbers from their COVID-19 testing of the week from Nov. 22nd through Nov. 28th. They aren’t great.

For a point of reference, this is quite the uptick from where it has been.
That is an increase of 20 active cases among student-athletes at Oklahoma since Oklahoma's last release last Monday.
Also an increase of 10 active cases amongst athletics staff. #Sooners https://t.co/CZzylY571p

As noted in the numbers, this a positivity rate jump from two percent among student-athletes last week up to nine percent this week. Obviously, that is a pretty sizable leap.
A very careful eye will now be kept on Oklahoma as they look to get things under control and get their teams back in action as soon as possible. Sooners Wire will provide more updates on the situation as we receive them.
