Oklahoma 2024 targets named to Texas Football Life All-Texas Offense

Taylor Tatum and a pair of Oklahoma targets were named to Texas Football Life’s All-Texas offense.

If there’s one thing Oklahoma has done consistently well since Bob Stoops took over in 1999, it’s recruit the offensive side of the football. That hasn’t changed despite many believing Oklahoma would suffer a drop-off after the coaching change.

Though much of the focus in 2024 has been on the defensive side of the ball, the Sooners are making waves on offense. That’s evinced by the number of commitments or targets featured on Texas Football Life’s All-Texas offense.

Oklahoma already had a commitment from the No. 1 running back in the class, [autotag]Taylor Tatum[/autotag]. It is in hot pursuit of running back [autotag]Caden Durham[/autotag]. Durham helped lead Duncanville to the Texas 6A state championship.

The Sooners are up against the LSU Tigers for Durham’s commitment. He brings incredible speed and agility that will make him a game-breaking player as both a runner and receiver.

The Sooners are also going after the No. 1 athlete in the 2024 recruiting cycle, [autotag]Terry Bussey[/autotag]. Bussey is being pursued by Texas A&M, but it sounds as though the Sooners made some noise in their latest visit that could move the needle in that recruitment.

Of the visits he took in June it appears that the visit to Norman was the most impactful. He has a great relationship with Emmett Jones, Jeff Lebby, and I think that the interest has continued to grow over the dead period. – Sam Spiegelman, On3 (Exclusive Content).

There’s no telling if the Oklahoma Sooners will end up with all three of these targets, but they’ve consistently put themselves in great position for the top prospects in Texas under Brent Venables and Jeff Lebby.
