There is a ton of momentum to having a 2020 college football season these days. No definite signs, yet, but the season would start less than 100 days from now.
Sooners Wire will be creating player cards for readers to be introduced to the 2020 roster.
Here is the No. 81 for Oklahoma.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Name: Brayden Willis
Number: No. 81
Year: Junior
Position: H-Back
Hometown: Arlington, Texas
Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 235 pounds
Oklahoma has a proud tradition of H-backs and Brayden Willis falls right in line with it.
The Arlington Martin High School product came to the Sooners as a three-star prospect on Rivals. Willis was a late addition to the 2018 recruiting class as he picked and signed with Oklahoma over Arizona, Houston and Wake Forest.
He played mostly on special teams as a freshman in 2018 before making a real impact as a sophomore. Willis played in all 14 games alongside H-back Jeremiah Hall, catching 11 passes for 168 yards, including the game-tying touchdown in Oklahoma’s historic comeback against Baylor in Waco, Texas.
Willis should be a starter by committee at H-back alongside Hall and Austin Stogner.
