There is a ton of momentum to having a 2020 college football season these days. No definite signs, yet, but the season would start less than 100 days from now.

Sooners Wire will be creating player cards for readers to be introduced to the 2020 roster.

Here is the defensive No. 25 for Oklahoma.

Name: Justin Broiles

Number: No. 25

Year: Redshirt Junior

Position: Safety

Hometown: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Height/Weight: 5-foot-10, 190 pounds

A 2017 four-star recruit from nearby John Marshall High School, Broiles was the No. 1 recruit in the state of Oklahoma, the No. 9 safety in the country, and the 107th best recruit in his class.

Taking a redshirt his freshman season, Broliles has since played in 25 games, Broiles has 50 total tackles (31 solos, 19 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, and three pass breakups.

Logging two consistent seasons in a row, Broiles, as well as the rest of the Sooners’ defense looks to make a jump under year two of Alex Grinch’s system.

Oklahoma is set to begin the season at home against Missouri State on September 5.
