Seeing action in eight games between the 2018 and 2019 seasons, redshirt sophomore quarterback Tanner Mordecai is a part of one of the deepest quarterback rooms in the nation.
A three-star recruit in the 2018 class out of Midway High School in Waco, Texas, Mordecai has worked his way into a potential quarterback battle with redshirt freshman Spencer Rattler.
Mordecai is 18 of 30 passing with 244 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2018, his freshman season, the dual-threat quarterback was named one of Oklahoma’s scout team players of the year. In 2019, Mordecai was named to the Big 12’s All-Academic First Team.
