Oklahoma’s schedule just got a tad bit easier.
Tennessee running back Tim Jordan was arrested on May 30 near his hometown in Lakeland, Florida. Upon further inspection of Jordan and his vehicle, he was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed firearm, possessing narcotic paraphernalia, and having 20 grams or less of cannabis.
Jordan was released on a $2,000 bond shortly after his booking.

In a Zoom media availability on Thursday, Volunteers head coach Jeremy Pruitt told reporters that Jordan was no longer on the team.
In his three seasons at Tennessee, Jordan rushed for 1,002 yards, four touchdowns, and averaged 4.1 yards per carry. Through the air, Jordan caught 26 passes for 227 yards over his three seasons in the Volunteers’ backfield.
So long as everything goes according to plan, Oklahoma and Tennessee will face off for the third time since 2014 and the fifth time in program history when the Sooners play host to the Volunteers on Sept. 12.
Oklahoma leads the all-time series 3-1 with the lone loss coming in 1939.
