The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Wednesday they had signed head coach Mark Daigneault to a multiyear extension. The details of the extension were not released.

The extension keeps Daigneault in OKC for the long haul. He is preparing to enter his fourth season as head coach. Under him, the Thunder went 40-42 and finished a win shy of a playoff berth last season.

The Thunder’s overperformance last season helped Daigneault finish No. 2 in Coach of the Year voting.

In three seasons as head coach, the rebuilding Thunder has gone 86-150 (.364 win percentage).

Daigneault is the fourth head coach in Thunder history after he joined the organization in 2014. He previously coached the G League’s OKC Blue and was an assistant prior to being named the head coach.
