The Ringer’s Bill Simmons recently published an article that ranked the 64 most valuable trade assets in the NBA heading into the 2022-23 season.
The 12 tiers are categorized on six variables: salaries, age, contract length, happiness, real-life trades, degree concentration.
For the Oklahoma City Thunder, only three players were listed in the 64 names in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey and Chet Holmgren.
Giddey was in Group K, The Upside Gang. Gilgeous-Alexander was in Group I, The Westbrooks (Regular-Season Guys). Holmgren was in Group G, the “Too Young, Too Cheap, Too Good… Please Stop Calling Us” group.
Those three players being the only three from the Thunder is understandable as they make up the young trio of the team.
