The Oklahoma City Thunder continues to diversify their front office and scouting department.
Scout Basketball — an organization that scouts talent in Europe and Africa — announced on Wednesday that its co-founder Ramon Carbonell has agreed to join the Thunder.
With the Thunder’s history of drafting international players, adding an international scout only strengthens this area. Especially right now with the Thunder undergoing a rebuild and having a massive number of draft picks in the 2020s.
It’s unknown what Carbonell’s specific role with the team will be, but it’s safe to assume his knowledge of international players will come in handy for the Thunder.
We are happy to announce that Ramón Carbonell, our co-founder, is leaving Scoutbasketball to officially join the Oklahoma City Thunder. We’re proud that all his hard and honest work during these years has been recognized.
