OKC Thunder news: Derrick Favors enters health and safety protocols

The Thunder have added its seventh case in the last two days to health and safety protocols.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have added center Derrick Favors to health and safety protocols on Tuesday. That now marks six players overall and Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault who have been placed under protocols. The six players are Darius Bazley, Tre Mann, Josh Giddey, Aleksej Pokusevski and Jeremiah-Robinson Earl.

Bazley and Mann were placed in protocols on Sunday. Pokusevski and Robinson-Earl were placed on Monday. Daigneault, Giddey and Favors were placed on Tuesday.

The Thunder signed three of their G League players in Rob Edwards, Scotty Hopson and Olivier Starr to 10-day hardship deals on Monday.

The Thunder are scheduled to play the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday at 9 p.m. CT. The Thunder will be coached by assistant Mike Wilks.
