Ohio State QB CJ Stroud in Las Vegas on Top 30 visit with Raiders

CJ Stroud is in Vegas today visiting with the Raiders

Another top Draft QB is visiting Las Vegas. CJ Stroud is making a Top 30 visit to the Raiders facility, making for the fourth of four projected highly drafted quarterbacks from this draft to visit.

Last week the Raiders hosted Alabama’s Bryce Young, Florida’s Anthony Richardson, and Kentucky’s Will Levis.

Those three along with Stroud all figure to be selected in the top ten, if not the top five of this year’s Draft.

Currently the Raiders own the seventh overall pick. They would very much like one or more of these quarterback to be on the board for them when they make their pick. If, after doing all their research — including these prospect meetings, they get high on one of them and fear that QB won’t make it to seven, they could consider attempting to trade up to get him.

Stroud is in in the running for the number one overall pick. He finished last season strong, leading the Buckeyes to the National Championship game and going 23 of 34 for 348 yards and four touchdowns, very nearly taking down a tough Georgia team.

While known mostly for his arm and accuracy, Stroud showed some ability to move and improvise in that game which raised his stock.

The consensus has the Panthers taking either Stroud or Young with the top pick. Then it’s the Texans at number two overall who also need a quarterback. But if for whatever reason, neither the Panthers nor Texans take Stroud, trading up to third overall becomes all the more intriguing for teams like the Raiders.
