Ohio State holds steady in latest Amway Coaches Poll

The latest Amway Coaches Poll is out and Ohio State remains in the same spot it was last week when it appeared in the rankings.

It’s that time of the week. Each Sunday the Amway Coaches Poll Powered by USA TODAY Sports is released. And while the poll doesn’t mean nearly as much as it did before all the College Football Playoff shenanigans, it still provides a temperature of what the college football minds believe things stand.

And in this year of uncertainty, we’ve seen Ohio State appear in the poll at No. 2 initially only to fall out when the Big Ten shelved the fall football season, and then enter back in well below expectations when the conference reversed course and reinstated the fall season once again.

This week, the Buckeyes kept their No. 6 ranking, presumably because some voters are still waiting for Ohio State to play a game before including it in the rankings.

The top five ahead of OSU are teams you would expect based on the way things have gone so far. Clemson remains No. 1, followed by Alabama (2), Georgia (3), Florida (4), and Notre Dame (5). Rounding out the top ten after the Buckeyes are Miami (7), Penn State (8), North Carolina (9), and Oklahoma State (10).
