The Arizona Cardinals were robbed of a defensive touchdown in the first half against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The theft came at the hands of the game officials.
After taking a 10-3 lead over the Rams with a four-yard James Conner touchdown run, on second down, rookie linebacker Myjai Sanders hit Rams quarterback John Wolford and the ball came out.

Defensive end J.J. Watt picked up the ball and had a clear path to the end zone.
However, the officials blew the play dead, ruling it an incomplete pass.
Normally, in that situation, officials let the play happen, knowing that on a turnover, there is an automatic review.
Since the play came in the final two minutes of the half, it was reviewed by the booth and overturned. It was ruled a fumble and the Cardinals took over at the Los Angeles 30.
The reactions were not happy.
That's stupid. Officials regularly eat the whistle in a situation like that, especially in final 2 minutes.

They scored a touchdown on the ensuing offensive possession, but it cost Watt a defensive score.
It should never have happened.
