When Wisconsin basketball finally got their “one shining moment” thanks to amazing work by the UW video team, Badger fans were able to re-live this magical, championship season:

The tradition of One Shining Moment dates back to 1987, where CBS Sports debuted the video montage following the end of the national championship broadcast. Today, it is the anthem of college basketball. A montage that leaves college basketball fans feeling bittersweet about the incredible tournament they have just witnessed. While we did not get a traditional montage this year, there have been many different recreations of the video, including the Badger version.

Beyond just teams making their own videos, though, fans and media members have given it a try. Sportscaster Brandon Gaudin, who actually calls NCAA tournament games for Westwood One, as well as college football, basketball, and baseball for Fox Sports, put in the effort, and it paid off. All the way from the band to generic one liners from coaches, Gaudin captures the essence of “One Shining Moment” while never leaving his home. The only part that Badger fans may want to avoid is who actually wins this fake tournament. You have been warned.

How about all the equipment he used to make this thing feel real? Per Gaudin’s Twitter page, here is a photo of all the hard work:
