The reality of Odell Beckham Jr.’s return to action took a big step forward on Thursday. The Browns wide receiver took his first full-speed team reps in practice, per several on-scene reports from Berea.
It’s the first time Beckham has been a full participant and worked with the first-team offense since tearing his ACL last October. Beckham has worked in individual drills and also played the role of a stand-in during team reps, but he had yet to work as an actual player in a full-speed team rep.
Beckham worked some in 7-on-7 passing drills on Wednesday and passed the test with his surgically repaired knee. He will not play in Cleveland’s preseason finale on Sunday night in Atlanta, but the progress puts him more on track to be on the field in Week 1.
