The Browns got the news back from the medical staff, and it’s not good for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
Monday’s MRI revealed Beckham tore a ligament in his knee while attempting to make a tackle in the Week 7 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Beckham will need surgery to repair the injury and that will end his 2020 season after just seven games.
Beckham’s second season in Cleveland ends with the enigmatic receiver catching 23 passes for 319 yards and scoring three TDs. He also rushed for 72 yards and the game-sealing touchdown in the win over Dallas.
After playing in all 16 games in 2019, this is the third time in four years Beckham’s season ends with the Pro Bowl receiver missing at least four games due to injury.
