Odell Beckham Jr. “in fantastic shape” according to Jarvis Landry

The Cleveland Browns could get an explosive Odell Beckham Jr. earlier than expected as Jarvis Landry reports he looked “in fantastic shape.”

The Cleveland Browns revamped their defense this offseason but the biggest addition to their offense is the expected return of Odell Beckham Jr. from his ACL injury. Due to the timing of his injury in late October, there was looming questions about when the star receiver could return.

Following most ACL surgeries, players are full go around a year later. Advancements in modern medicine have accelerated that rate some.

According to Beckham’s teammate and long-time best friend Jarvis Landry, the Browns could see a full return much sooner than that. Speaking at his celebrity softball event, Landry told reporters that his friend is looking really good “just six and half months” into his recovery:

Later, Landry noted that Beckham was able to cut and explode off the leg that he hurt during their time down in Austin, Texas with Baker Mayfield.

Beckham participated in Landry’s softball tournament where he didn’t fare well in the homerun derby but was quick to react while pitching:

For Cleveland, and Beckham, the most important thing is that he is ready for the start of the season and can sustain that health through the run to, and through, the NFL playoffs.

Thankfully for the Browns, there were no reported injuries from the softball event. The icing on the cake is Landry’s report on Beckham Jr.’s return to health.
