After a historic win over the Minnesota Timberwolves that saw All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum score 53 points to cap off the Boston Celtics’ seven-game home stand, the schedule ticks up several notches in difficulty this weekend with a short road trip out to the West Coast with Sunday’s tilt against the Denver Nuggets.
The Celtics are enjoying a return to their status as a plus-.500 franchise with two wins in a row and six of their last 10, while the Nuggets have been rolling since the 2021 NBA trade deadline and the addition of former Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon.
Winners of eight in a row and nine of their last 10, the Nuggets are one of the toughest remaining opponents on Boston’s schedule as the team kicks off its stretch run.
