Denver Nuggets rookie Bol Bol earned a bit of praise from head coach Mike Malone as the team ramps up preparations ahead of the season restart at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.

The Nuggets brought 17 players, including the two signed to two-way contracts, and have held a few practices since arriving inside of the bubble. Bol has yet to make his debut in the NBA but has been seen practicing with the team and has left an impression on Malone.

The organization has been cautious with Bol’s return to the court after undergoing foot surgery in January 2019. Bol hasn’t practiced much with the Nuggets but Malone was excited to see him on the floor, according to Eric Spyropoulos of Nuggets.com.

[Bol] only practiced with us in Denver a few times during the season. To see him out there playing and doing things that a lot of people can’t do, it’s really remarkable. I have to remind myself of how young he is. He is extremely talented and skilled.

Bol likely won’t see much action during the season restart but the experience of practicing with the team will likely be beneficial in the future. By all accounts, Bol appears to be 100% healthy again and ready to help the Nuggets when that time comes.

The Nuggets begin the season restart on Aug. 1 vs. the Miami Heat.
