Notre Dame will attempt to get back on the horse Saturday afternoon as the 3-3 Irish welcome 4-2 UNLV to South Bend.
We won’t sugarcoat things here at Fighting Irish Wire: outside of those that might be making their first trip to Notre Dame Stadium either ever or in a very long time, this is among the least anticipated games in recent Fighting Irish memory.
Games against New Mexico and Bowling Green come to mind but at least those took place in years Notre Dame was in College Football Playoff contention into late October. This year the Irish are just trying to stay afloat and get invited to a bowl game sponsored by either Duke’s Mayo or Tony the Tiger.
