When Notre Dame welcomes Duke to town for the opener in just 10 days the Fighting Irish will be a significant favorite.
Duke’s road to an upset just got that much more difficult as well as they’ve lost their starting center to a torn ACL.
ESPN’s Andrea Adelson broke the news on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.
Tough news for Duke — starting C Jack Wohlabaugh is out indefinitely with a torn ACL.

- “Out indefinitely” is an interesting way of putting what will likely cost Wohlabuagh his season but it’s a big loss for a Duke team that is already playing from behind in terms of talent compared to the rest of the ACC.
Wohlabuagh was an honorable mention to the All-ACC Team a season ago and was awarded the conferences Lineman of the Week Award once last season, after helping the Blue Devils to 45 points and a victory at Virginia Tech.
