Many questioned the hire of [autotag]Gerad Parker[/autotag] to take over [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag]’s play calling duties when Tommy Rees left for Alabama.
Parker’s resume of being the primary play caller isn’t large at all, two seasons at West Virginia and they getting demoted after the Mountaineers hired Graham Harrell.
Head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] believes that the grow during the spring showed, as quarterback Sam Hartman dominated. At the end of the day, if Parker is able to get the offense to put up a lot of points, no one will care about the hiring process.
Parker also knows that there is a lot on his plate and expressed that in a heartfelt message he shared on Twitter.
Everyone knows I’m emotional when it comes to people! Had to put out a message before another crazy, busy year begins to say thx to all the past players and coaches that make this career so rewarding. And, to this team, I can’t wait! ☘️☘️☘️
