Notre Dame’s Kennedy Urlacher earns top marks for play vs. Purdue

An impressive start to Urlacher’s Irish career

The Notre Dame football freshman freight train otherwise known as [autotag]Kennedy Urlacher[/autotag] announced his presence to the college football world this past weekend.

The son of Hall of Fame linebacker Brian, was just a three-star coming out of high school on the 247Sports composite, but it looks like it, along with the other recruiting services, was wrong on Urlacher’s talent.

In just a few quarters of football, the 5-foot, 11-inch, 190-pound safety racked up three tackles and a pass broken up. That was enough for Pro Football Focus to grade Urlacher out as the top true freshman safety in the country during Week 3’s play.

It’s an impressive start to Urlacher’s career, one that should be very fun to watch over the next three to four years.
