Notre Dame’s Five First Round MLB Draft Picks

Notre Dame isn’t known to be a baseball powerhouse but has had it’s share of big-time prospects. Here are their all-time first round picks.

Notre Dame Baseball – All-Time First Round Draft Picks

AJ Pollock, OF, 17th overall in 2009 by Arizona Diamondbacks

AJ Pollock is the most recent and only currently active former Notre Dame baseball player to be selected in the first round.

Pollock has been a solid player during his time with both the Diamondbacks and Dodgers but injuries have been a huge part of his story as he’s played in more than 120 games just twice.

Pollock earned an All-Star appearance in 2015 when he hit .315 with 20 home runs and 76 RBI for Arizona, a season in which he won a Gold Glove as well.

Pollock signed a four year deal with the Dodgers ahead of the 2019 season that is set to pay him $60 million through 2022.
