Notre Dame Baseball – All-Time First Round Draft Picks

Dan McGinn, LHP – 10th overall in 1966 by Cincinnati Reds

It was only the second MLB Draft in history but to this day, McGinn being selected 10th overall remains the highest a Notre Dame baseball player has ever been drafted.

McGinn made it to the big leagues with the Reds in 1968 before finding a home with the Montreal Expos between ’69-’71.  His career ended after being a Chicago Cub in 1972.

McGinn made 210 career appearances and 28 starts in those five seasons, going 15-30 with a 5.11 ERA along the way.
