Notre Dame’s ESPN FPI chances drop vs USC

Via @IrishWireND: Notre Dame’s chances of beating USC are dropping. We’ll see what Week 12 does to change that equation.

USC has to play UCLA first this Saturday, but Notre Dame is just around the corner for the Trojans.

Fighting Irish Wire has noted that the FPI metrics have lowered Notre Dame’s chances of beating USC.

Here’s a snippet from Fighting Irish Wire on Week 13 at USC:

“FPI Odds of Notre Dame win: 30.6% (Down 5.2% from last week)

“Why the drop? Notre Dame didn’t look good in the second half against Navy, but neither did USC late against Cal two weeks ago,” Irish Wire wrote. “The Trojans did however have a dominant showing against Colorado last week, compared to the Irish sprinting out of the gate and having to hold on for a victory.”

We will see how Week 12 changes that equation, with Notre Dame hosting Boston College and USC visiting the UCLA Bruins at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
