Notre Dame-Alabama series pushed back due to Oklahoma State

Who will the coaches of both programs be for this series?

Notre Dame and Alabama were scheduled to have a home-and-home in football during the 2028 and 2029 seasons but because of a newly scheduled series for Alabama, the Notre Dame dates will be pushed back a year each.

Alabama has agreed to a deal to play a home-and-home with Oklahoma State in 2028 and 2029 so instead of playing both the Irish and Cowboys in non-conference action in consecutive seasons, the Tide will start their home-and-home with Notre Dame a year later.

Notre Dame hosts the game in 2029, which will in all likelihood be the season opener for both squads while they’ll play on Sept. 14, 2030, in Tuscaloosa.

Notre Dame and Alabama have not met in the regular season since Lou Holtz was in his first two seasons with the Fighting Irish.
