Nick Shepkowski’s Game Ball Awards for Notre Dame-Clemson
Offensive: Ian Book
Maybe his numbers weren’t the best but for a guy who takes criticism all of the time for what he’s not, it’s time to start appreciating a bit what he is.
His legs came up huge tonight by extending plays but it was his arm that was plenty impressive as well as he made several throws, some of which that weren’t even caught that should have been.
He could have folded after fumbling inside the five yard line in the third quarter but instead bounced back and led the glorious 91 yard drive that was capped by an Avery Davis score with just 22 seconds remaining.
Defensive: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
JOK was all over the place again and played better than any defender on the field for either side tonight. His fumble return for a touchdown was one of the biggest swing plays of the night and he quickly followed it up with another forced fumble.
It goes without saying for Notre Dame fans, but for a nation of football fans that might not know much about him, JOK made himself a load of money in terms of the NFL Draft tonight.
