Upon Further Review…
How do you take the wind out of the sails in an all-time college football game?
It’s impossible to completely do it but the officiating crew tried incredibly hard to on Saturday.
I get close plays being reviewed and the need to get things right but in countless cases Saturday night it was obvious plays getting reviewed time and time again.
I’ll leave it at that for now.
OK, I lied. Even the plays that didn’t get reviewed were called poorly in large chunks of this one.
The non-intentional grounding, the JOK’s return should have been down at the one, the picked up flag on Clemson’s pass interference in the fourth quarter and more.
Not a good night for the zebras, but the good news is nobody tuned in to watch them.
