Hats off to Ian Book

Ian Book often gets criticized for what he’s not, who he’s not and often times Notre Dame followers overlook what he has been able to accomplish.

Book wasn’t perfect on Saturday night but it may have been the best game he played in a Notre Dame uniform that didn’t occur against a MAC school, New Mexico or Wake Forest.

Book could have folded after fumbling inside the Clemson five yard line in the third quarter but rebounded and led the game tying drive as he took the Irish 91 yards in eight plays to force overtime with just 22 seconds remaining.

Had the final result gone the other way it’d be a nation remembering Book’s fumble, but instead it’s the biggest win for Notre Dame in at least 27 years that keep their national championship dreams alive.
