Notre Dame to host baseball regional for first time in 17 years

The Irish will start the NCAA Tournament on their home turf.

We have to wait and find out what Notre Dame’s draw is going to be in the 2021 NCAA baseball tournament but we do know the Irish will be hosting a regional for the first time in 17 years.

Despite getting blown out by Virginia and eliminated in pool play of the ACC baseball tournament, Notre Dame won the Atlantic division of the conference and finished the year with the best record in the ACC.

This will be Notre Dame’s 22nd all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament and this will be the fifth all-time regional held in South Bend.

Notre Dame will find out their overall seed and their three opponents in the regional during Monday’s selection show that will air live on ESPN2 at 12 p.m. ET.
