For many, [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] offensive tackle [autotag]Joe Alt[/autotag] is the top player at his position heading into the 2023 season.
The Minnesota native is entering his third year in the program and has been the starter every season. NFL teams are well aware of his lineage, his father John being a first-round pick and two-time Pro Bowler.
With that body of work, you’d expect many NFL mock drafts to have Alt projected early, but 247Sports Brad Crawford doesn’t believe so. He has the junior All-American getting selected with the 25th overall pick. That makes Alt the fourth offensive lineman selected, which has to be a criminal offense.

It’s hard to believe that this is where Alt could fall, he’s at minimum, a top 10 pick. Not sure what made Crawford believe this could happen, as he didn’t give a reason why the Irish tackle fell so low.
