Notre Dame still among top schools for five-star 2023 defender

This is great news

The Irish may have missed out on quarterback [autotag]Dante Moore[/autotag] but one recruiting loss is not going to stop [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and his coaching staff from working hard to bring other prospects to Notre Dame. One of those prospects is IMG Academy edge defender [autotag]Samuel M’Pemba[/autotag].

Originally from St. Louis, the six-foot-four-inch and 240-pound terror transferred to IMG to prepare himself to make an early impact at the next level. The lucky seven schools that could see M’Pemba suit up are Oregon, Florida, Georgia, Miami (FL), Alabama and Tennessee along with the Irish. It’s an extremely heavy SEC list as Notre Dame is the only Midwest school he’s still considering.

Freeman has the Irish in a very good position, as M’Pemba has already scheduled his official visit to South Bend the weekend of November 5th when Clemson comes to town. The environment should be the best of the season and expect the red carpet to be rolled out.
