A little over a year ago, Notre Dame found their quarterback for the 2022 class in New Jersey’s Steve Angeli. With many high schools across the country either getting started or have started their seasons, everyone is interested in the progression of the recruits.

Well, for Angeli, he came out with a fire in his hands, setting a Bergen Catholic school record for consecutive completions with 14. According to this tweet, Angeli was almost perfect, as just two of his attempts went for incompletions while another two of them went for scores. It’s safe to say, it was a very successful opening game for the Irish commit.
Tuesday Tweet time. Congrats to Bergen Catholic '22 QB and Notre Dame commit Steven Angeli on his outstanding passing performance in a week 0 win over Archbishop Hoban. On the day, he was 14 of 16 for 195 yds and 2 tds. His 14 consecutive completions are a school record. pic.twitter.com/nbopyNxOoT

Already recognized as one of the best players in the country, the six-foot-three-inch and 215-pound quarterback obviously has something to prove. It’s great to see Angeli with an excellent opening week game, and we expect to hear much more about his efforts before he arrives in South Bend.
