Notre Dame students, faculty and administrators came under much heat on Saturday night as upon the football team upsetting No. 1 Clemson, students rushed the field in celebration.
Any other year it’d be perfectly normal to see roughly 10,000 fans rush the field and celebrate a stunning victory which was the biggest for the program in perhaps 27 years.
But in 2020 and the world of social distancing we live in during this pandemic, many were upset with the sight of thousands celebrating together in such a large group.
Sunday night Notre Dame President Rev. John I. Jenkins sent the following note to all students of the University.

OK, cool.
What’s that old saying about a kettle and a pot?
I’m fairly certain it applies here.
