Five of the eight former Notre Dame players in the WNBA were on the same court when the Seattle Storm visited the Chicago Sky. This was the first of three meetings between the teams this season. They will wrap up their season series with two games in three days in Seattle in July.
This first meeting resulted in a 77-68 victory for the Storm, assuring that they would be the one of the two teams to finish the game above .500. Neither team is expected to be a championship contender this year, but they could at least be a disruption for a team projected to be one.
Irish fans watching this game only to see some old faces probably don’t care as much about what this game meant as far as the rest of the WNBA season. They wanted to see those old faces do well or at least perform respectably. You be the judge as to whether they did:
