Kevin Austin – 2020 Outlook
What’s the definition of faith? I’m not going to be confused Webster anytime soon but I’m pretty sure it’s about believing in something without necessarily seeing it.
That’s where most are at when it comes to Notre Dame’s wide receivers, a unit Austin is expected to be the best of. The leading receiver the Irish bring back however is tight end Tommy Tremble who hauled in all of 16 receptions a season ago.
Austin is the assumed starter entering 2020 in the boundary, the same spot Chase Claypool and Miles Boykin both excelled at in recent years.
Austin’s talent is non-disputable but can he put it all together, both on the field and off, to make a leap in 2020?
His size, athleticism and speed all say that he should be a real difference maker in 2020 assuming he does put it all together.
Austin may not have skins on the wall that others have had entering their third years on campus, but if I had to make a pick to be Notre Dame’s biggest breakout player in 2020, I’d have a hard time picking anyone else.
