Notre Dame Player Preview: Cam Hart – Cornerback

It’s a year of great question for Notre Dame at corner, but Cam Hart offers something others lack: tremendous size. Learn more right here.

Cam Hart – 2020 Season Outlook

An injury to his shoulder kept us from learning a whole lot about him in 2019 but a few things are working in Hart’s favor to make 2020 a special season.

Most saw Hart as a college wide receiver but the high school, two-way star moved from safety to corner his senior year, helping to make the transition to Notre Dame’s secondary.

What kind of athlete are you looking at in Hart?  ESPN had him as the 32nd rated receiver in the 2019 recruiting class.

As the Irish enter 2020 with a secondary being almost entirely reworked, Hart offers a 6-2 frame that is significantly larger than Tariq Bracy and Shaun Crawford, and an inch taller than graduate-transfer Nick McCloud.  That size will only do him favors getting on the field, assuming health.

As of now his name isn’t going to be found atop any depth charts, but if you’re looking for a defensive player that may turn some heads, Hart seems to be a guy his coaches really like and appears to be a solid bet.
