Notre Dame Player Preview: Avery Davis – RB/WR

Davis was recruited out of Cedar Hill, Texas as a quarterback but changed positions after the likes of Brandon Wimbush, Ian Book and Phil Jurkovec found themselves well ahead on the depth chart.  Davis might not have stats that jump off the page at you but some of his highlights certainly do.

Stats/Accomplishments at Notre Dame:

2017:  One of ten scholarship freshman who played on the scout team but did not see any game action
2018:  Played in nine games at running back, carrying the ball for 70 yards.  Also pulled in five receptions for 30 yards.
2019:  Started camp at corner before moving to receiver where he played in 11 games.  Caught ten passes for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
