The recruiting base for the Irish is not regional, it’s national. Every time Marcus Freeman or one of his assistants go into a high school, there’s a buzz in the air. No school is off limits for Notre Dame to recruit and when Freeman goes into SEC country and offers a big time prospect, it’s not a surprise.
Recently he did exact that, reaching out to 2023 defensive lineman Stephiylan Green, offering him a spot on the Irish football team. Green has had quite a month of February, gaining offers from LSU, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Purdue, Arkansas, Indiana and of course the Irish. The six-foot-four-inch and 275-pounder will most likely slide inside and play defensive tackle when he arrives to a college campus, but still has the athletic ability to line up as and end a be productive.

At the current moment Green has yet to announce a top list of schools, so the Irish getting on him at this point in time in his recruitment should be seen as a positive.
