Although the Irish already have a fantastic haul for their 2023 recruiting class, [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] is still looking for a few prospects to finish out the class. One of those resides in Freeman’s former home, Ohio, as Notre Dame has offered a scholarship to Lakota West defensive back [autotag]Ben Minich[/autotag].
At six-foot-one-inch and 185-pounds, Minich totaled 45 tackles with 2 interceptions during his junior year. The Irish now join schools like Oklahoma, Stanford, Wake Forest, Kentucky and others in the recruitment of Minich.
It seems like Minich is one of those diamonds in the rough, as his recruitment hasn’t been quite the same as some of the other Irish prospects. The Sooners offered just under a month ago and now holding two major offers more could be on the way.
Extremely BLESSED and THANKFUL to have received an offer from the University of Notre Dame ☘️☘️@Coach_OLeary @Marcus_Freeman1 @LakotaWestFB pic.twitter.com/RbPoERDyE8

This relationship with Minich is just starting and with a big senior campaign he could blow up. Good to know the Irish were in on him fairly early.
