Notre Dame offers 2025 USF athlete commit, as it waits for the recruiting dominoes

Is this the first real sign that the Irish aren’t confident about Knight’s commitment?

The [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag] saga is continuing for Notre Dame football, as multiple analysts believe he will flip to either Ole Miss or Auburn.

He has a visit to see the Tigers during the first weekend of the season, and it looks like the Mississippi quarterback will make his final decision to stay Irish or go elsewhere.

At this point, it wouldn’t make much sense for Notre Dame to bank on him staying in the class, so other moves had to be made. The first sign that the Irish aren’t too confident in his verbal was on Friday, when an offer out to 2025 Georgia athlete [autotag]Antavious Richardson[/autotag] was made.

The 6-foot and 175-pounder who could play either quarterback or in the secondary committed to USF in June, but has seen North Carolina, Duke and now Notre Dame offer this month. There is plenty for the currently unranked quarterback to think about, and we will see how serious Richardson is when considering a flip to the Irish.
