Notre Dame football trending to add 2026 legacy wide receiver

The Irish are his in bloodlines

If you follow Notre Dame football recruiting, you have noticed a trend over the last few years: The Irish are going after former players’ sons.

Well, it looks like that will be the case once again if On3’s Mike Singer is correct. On Tuesday night, he logged a prediction for Notre Dame to land 2026 wide receiver [autotag]Trent Mosley[/autotag] of Rancho Santa Margarita, California.

The California native stands 5 feet, 11 inches and weighs 170 pounds. He is the nation’s 138th overall prospect on the 247Sports composite.

His father, [autotag]Emmett Mosley[/autotag], played for the Irish from 1993-1996. His mother, Cindy, was a star soccer player for Notre Dame who won the Hermann Trophy, Honda Sports Award and Honda-Broderick Cup as the country’s top player.

The bloodlines are strong, but the pipeline isn’t necessarily a given. Trent’s older brother, Emmett, signed with Stanford during the 2024 cycle. The younger Mosley hopefully will follow in his parents’ footsteps and star in South Bend.
