One of the top 2026 offensive tackles, Pennsylvania’s [autotag]Kevin Brown[/autotag], was offered a scholarship by Notre Dame football at the middle of March during “Pot of Gold Day.”
The 6-foot, 5-inch and 270-pound star held offers from the major of powerhouse programs across the country, but this weekend made the short tip to State College and visited Penn State.
The nation’s No. 36 overall prospect and 5th ranked tackle according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings saw all he needed to see, and committed to the Nittany Lions shortly after his trip. This is obviously a recruiting loss for the Irish, but it was always seen as an uphill battle to lure Brown away from his home state.

The good news for Notre Dame is that it’s still extremely early in that class, with plenty of time to rework their recruiting board to find another elite tackle.
