The bad news regarding Notre Dame Fighting Irish football’s 2025 recruiting class continued on Thursday evening.
Earlier in the week, the Irish saw its only quarterback commit, [autotag]Deuce Knight[/autotag], flip his verbal and end up closer to home with the Auburn Tigers. While this move was expected, running back [autotag]Daniel Anderson[/autotag]’s decision on Thursday night to also leave the class was much more of a shock.
The 5-foot, 11-inch and 200-pound Arkansas native had committed to the Irish over year ago, in late September of 2023. It’s odd that Anderson came to this conclusion, as his social media has been very favorable for the Irish.
The nation’s No. 582 overall recruit according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings had not announced any new offers since his final high school season began, so an immediate flip isn’t likely in the cards. With Anderson leaving the class, it leaves Notre Dame with just one commit at the position, [autotag]Justin Thurman[/autotag].
