Notre Dame football: ‘College GameDay’ host tabs Sam Hartman to be Heisman finalist

An iconic ESPN “College GameDay” host believes Sam Hartman will be headed to New York later this year.

Notre Dame has had seven players win the Heisman Trophy. Will 2023 be the year for No. 8?

Sam Hartman has a really long way to go to emerge as a real candidate. How he shows against Ohio State, USC and Clemson will largely decide if he has a case or not.

One ESPN “College GameDay” host is sold, though. Lee Corso isn’t calling for Hartman to win the Heisman this year (he thinks Caleb Williams repeats), but he is calling for Hartman to be a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Check out the video from Saturday’s show in Tuscaloosa, Alabama ahead of Alabama-Texas.

Hartman overcame a slow start to lead Notre Dame to a 45-24 victory at NC State on Saturday. Hartman totaled 248 passing yards and four more touchdowns in the win.
